Learning Objectives
“I can” statements:
- Identify and describe 3 camera types discussed last Friday.
- Define and apply basic information and skills to take a portrait using the Sony Cybershot RX 100 camera
- Identify and apply two qualities necessary for a good portrait for the portrait project.
- Create an accurate basic timeline of events in the history of photography
- Describe at least 2 qualities of the work of Cindy Sherman
- Identify at least one relevant task in each menu in the menu bar of Photoshop
BELL WORK Review: On a camera pass, list all 3 camera types discussed on Friday.
ACTIVITIES:
1.Explore through teacher presentation and practice: Sign-out/in procedures for cameras and care of cameras.
TUESDAY:
1. REVIEW 'Paparazzi rules/procedures
2. Discuss requirements/qualities of a good portrait
3. Sign out cameras to go outside as a group.
4. Take 1 picture of EACH of the members (3-4) of your group. Everyone should BE photographed and everyone should TAKE photographs.
5. Create folder on flash drive of one student.
6. Upload ALL pictures to that folder.
7. Upload pictures to Google drive and share with other members of your group.(If time. If not, leave on flash drive and we will discuss “sharing” tomorrow.)
8. Delete photos from camera.
9. Sign camera back in.
Wednesday
BELL WORK-
1. Open your image from yesterday. DISPLAY it on your screen (sorry) until AFTER attendance.
2. Find the page in your Survivor packet that matches the Cindy Sherman image (visit class website for clarity). Using the box on the handout provided, DESCRIBE (sentences!) using FACTS ONLY what you see in the image.
ACTIVITIES:
- During Prezi presentation on Cindy Sherman https://prezi.com/oywkq9stgqj3/cindy-sherman/, answer all questions on handout. DUE AT END OF CLASS. PUT YOUR NAME ON IT.
- ALSO TURN IN YOUR COMPLETED , 'FIRST LOOK' HANDOUT
- IF time and necessary, “share” or email images to the other students in your group. (Or get them from their flashdrive)

e. Wait for confirmation that your work has been submitted.
